I had previously purchased the BLUE version of these magazines. They simply would not fit my stainless steel model 93R17 rifle. I know, it makes no sense, but, they didn''t. Savage-rifles charged me a 15% fee for the non-fitting mags but did take them back. So, I ordered these stainless versions. What a difference - fit perfectly - work as they should - feed properly every time. Maybe the blue ones fit a blue gun better but they would NOT insert into the chamber. The SS ones seem better made and fit smoothly.

This is my second order of these magazines. Since they only hold 5 rounds - miseraable capacity - I ordered 5 more and now have ten so that I can preload a full box of ammo. At my range, TIME IS MONEY, and I don''t like to waste it reloading magazines. These ae excellent quality and feed very nicely. I have had no problems in several shoots. The SS versions are so much nicer than the blue ones in fit and finish.
