This gun is dead on. I have shot primers out of spent shot gun shells at 100yds. At 50 to 75 yds it is even better. Great for plinking or if you want to shoot the eye out of a coyote! For the price of this rifle it is well worth it. The only thing that could be better are the mags....they are a little sloppy and could be better quality. But the overall gun is a winner. I have shot many different brands of ammo and have found the Hornady 17 grain 2550fps to be the most consistant and accurate. Hope this review helps...BUY ONE!

I purchased this gun a few months ago and love it!!! It is incredibly accurate up to 100 yards with the stock scope. It is well built and the accu trigger ROCKS!!! The only thing I see wrong is the mags are very cheap. The only upgrade I see here is a new scope. I use the Hornady V-Max rounds and they are great!!!

Fun to shoot and amazingly accurate. I''ve been able to shoot less than 2 inch groups at 100 yards with ease. I just wish someone would offer a magazine that would hold more than 5 rounds.

This past weekend I sighted in the scope,it took very little adjustment, and is dead on the money at 25-100 yards. I shot groups you could cover with a dime using Hornady 17 GR. V-MAX rounds. This rifle is amazing for the money, as others I do not care for the clip, it is a little hard to line up on insertion. I normally only hand load one round at a time anyway, old habit. This rifle for $300 is well worth the money. I hope this review has helped anyone thinking of buying one! PS, consider buying a ROCK MOUNT 9-13 adjustable bipod, it makes a nice combination.

My friend has this rifle and I just ordered mine and am waiting for it. This is an awesome rifle for varmints. I shoot from coyotes to cotton tail rabbits and this baby is impressive. Be careful using V-Max bullets for the smaller game if you don''t mind having a mess, they tend to blow up cotton tail rabbits into to two, so I usually use CCI''s FMJ for the smaller game which rate at 2375fps on those rounds as they are a 20grain bullet. For those who are looking for more than 5 round magazines there is a website called www.17hmrmag.com and they have 10 round magazines for either $24.99 for one or $44.99 for two. They work well as my friend has them as well.

Bought a savage 93R17-GVXP ]or as I''''d like to call it an accurate bastard[ took it to the range to sight in a scope.4 shots later was right on the bulls eye.Couple days later went hunting to WMA in Florida,dropped a 115 pound wild hog at 75 yards with one shot to the head.Does not get any better for a small game cheap to own bullets cost 15 bucks per 50 rounds just point shoot and get results.

Guys, I rated this gun a 5, I bought one for one reason VARMINTS! My neighbor down the road has a goat farm and coyotes have been a real big problem, so I sat perched on a hill about 70 yards away from the edge of the woods, At about 9:30 am, 4 came out, I put the cross-hairs on the biggest one I seen, pulled the trigger! DROPED him instantley! 1 ran away 2 stayed Shot one closest to me in the head, he ran in a circle for about 10 seckonds then piled up, thats when the other ran away, Iwas using hornady 17-grain V-MAX bullets. This gun is awsome!
