Bought one of these two years ago and have dropped two whitetails in their tracks with one shot each at over 250 yds. Rifle was accurate right out of the box. I did upgrade the scope but the factory scope was OK. Rifle is light, virtually no recoil, operates smoothly and easy to handle. I hunt out of a stand that provides 400 yd shots. I am very confident at 300-400 yrds. with this firearm. Love shooting this rifle, ammo is very affordable and available. I have used Savage products in the past ]Model 99[ and you can trust the Savage product.
